A hairdressed salon’s median salary is almost as high as its average rent, according to a Fox News analysis of salary data compiled by the nonprofit organization PayScale.
The median salary for a salon in Dallas is $90,000.
Dallas is the eighth-highest-paid city in the U.S. for a haberdasher, according the survey, which used salary information from PayScale’s 2016 salary survey.
PayScale, which collects salary data from more than 300,000 people, said the median salary of a salon is $80,000 across all occupations, including hairdresses.
The salary for hairddressers is also well above the national median, at $80.78, according PayScale data.
Dallas hairdressor John Odom, president of the Dallas Association of Hairdressers and Shops, said that for a first-year salon owner, it’s difficult to make ends meet.
“When you have a salon that’s open year round, it has to pay people for their time,” Odom said.
He added that he has heard anecdotal stories of hairderers receiving higher salaries for being a salon owner. “
The salary data is just not available,” ODom said.
He added that he has heard anecdotal stories of hairderers receiving higher salaries for being a salon owner.
The National Association of Barber Technicians also said that while a salon’s salary can vary widely based on location and work hours, its median salary has been climbing in recent years.
The NABT’s survey of salon owners and employees found the median annual salary for those working in hair services increased from $84,500 in 2016 to $95,000 in 2018, according its 2017 annual report.
The report found the average salary for all salons across the country increased from about $50,000 to about $70,000 between 2016 and 2018.
But Odom pointed out that it is difficult to determine exactly what the median income for haberdressers in Dallas was in 2018.
“They’re a very well-respected profession and they make a lot of money, so I don’t think that’s something we can really measure,” he said.
Pay Scale said it analyzed data from about 1,200 salons and more than 200,000 employees to compile the data.
The data comes from Pay scale’s 2016 Salary Survey, which included information from a survey of more than 1,400 salon owners, salons’ owners, salon workers and salon workers’ associates.
The survey included questions about salons work hours and how they pay their employees.
The salons survey was conducted online between March 1 and April 30, 2016.
The results from the survey were compiled by PayScale and used in its analysis.
The PayScale survey asked employees how they feel about their jobs and the amount they spend on food, health care, utilities, travel and other expenses.

The average salary of salon employees was $93,000, according a PayScale report.
A majority of salons in Dallas had median salaries of less than $100,000 a year.
According to the PayScale analysis, Dallas salons median salary was $72,000 and $78,000 for salons working in hairstyling and styling, respectively.
But for salamps hair salon owners who earn more than $200,000 annually, the median pay was $84.77 for salmans with $100 to $200 million in annual income.
“That’s just a lot more money,” Odonas said.
Odom agreed that a salon should make money and that they need to make it as comfortable as possible.
“We’re not making enough to be able to afford our food, gas, water and all of our other expenses,” Odoms said.
But the median salaries at the top of the list are very high, Odom added.
“If you can’t afford the food and the gas and the water and your other expenses, then you should probably stay home,” O Dom said.
