London, United Kingdom – A hairdression salon has sparked anger and anger on social media after a fire broke out at its premises.
The blaze, which took place at a salon in St. Helens, south London, is being treated as suspicious.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the blaze was reported at about 11:45pm on Sunday, July 11.
Police were called to the salon after a customer complained of an odor, which prompted a “fire alarm” to be sounded.
A fire service spokesperson said the cause of the blaze is under investigation.
In a statement, the St Helens-based salon said the “safety and wellbeing of the community and the staff are of the utmost importance to us.”
“The safety of our clients is our highest priority and our staff is trained and experienced in dealing with incidents of this nature,” the statement continued.
